Emotions are complicated. Whether we like it or not, they don’t usually appear with purity or lucency. They are elusive, obscure, and sometimes irritating because they cause contradictions and regrets and we don’t even know how to feel. In this collection, I’m diving deep into the complex emotions and stitching together contradicted feelings. The design aims to induce resonance amidst convoluted thoughts, putting together fabrics of distinct styles and disparate sources. Threads are the essential symbol that run through the collection. In this illustrative picture, all the intricacies are tied, delicately hidden, but fated to be hung somewhere deep in our heart. When the threads unleash, we are forced to confront the unembellished ensemble. In order to move on in life at certain stage, we must acknowledge and embrace all the convolutions and imperfections of ourselves. To this end, I hope to use clothes as a medium, that harnesses the courage contained within, to imprint such acceptance onto the wearer.
